Assistant Principal

Greetings:

I would like to formally introduce myself to you. I am Benjamin Abraham, one of the Assistant Principals at Marshall Elementary School. I am from Orangeburg SC, and received my bachelor’s degree from South Carolina State University. It was there that I developed the passion to teach, thanks to the influence of family and university professors. I dedicated most of my life to helping kids reach their educational goals. I have taught for 17 years, before receiving a master’s degree from The University of Phoenix in Education Administration and Supervision. I enjoy the challenges of education, working with teachers, parents, and students. My firm belief is that teaching and providing educational opportunities is not just a job but it is also a responsibility. Student learning outcomes are the core mission of an educational setting and the school environment should be conducive to the learning process. School success is realized through a productive environment in which all stakeholders work hard toward the ultimate goal of developing minds. I look forward to giving back to a community that has given so graciously to me. It was the nurturing of those teachers employed here in Orangeburg Consolidated School District 5 that instilled in me the importance and value of a good education.
