Hello, From Mrs. Taylor
I am Dyisha R. Taylor, a native of Sumter, SC. At a young age, I
knew I wanted to be an educator. Each day after school, I would
rush home to teach a lesson to my imaginary class. I still carry
that same passion with me in Marshall everyday. It is an honor to
be the principal of such an extraordinary school.
I attended South Carolina State University and graduated Summa
Cum Laude with a Bachelor's. degree in Elementary Education. There,
I became a member Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. I later attended
the University of South Carolina and earned a Master's Degree in
Education Administration. I continued my professional growth by
obtaining an Education Specialist degree from SCSU.
Throughout my practice, I have served as an educator in Richland
School District 1 and Richland 2. While in this role, I received
National Board Certification and was named Magnet Schools of
America Teacher of the Year. For the past three years I have served
as a Teaching and Learning Coach for the illustrious Orangeburg
Consolidated School District Five. It's a privilege to be back in
the district that gave me my start in this profession.
Though I am proud of the work that I've done in the educational
realm, the titles that I cherish the most are wife and mother. I am
the proud wife of Robert C. Taylor, and the mother of two sons,
Charles and Dylan Taylor.
The best is yet to come at Marshall Elementary. Our school will
be a place where students achieve greatness and build character. I
thank you in advance for your support this year.
